Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect your email address and whatever you choose to type into the waitlist form. We use it to run this community and to decide what to build. We do not sell it.
Who we are
Technically Founders operates this website. If you have a question about this policy or about data we hold on you, email info@technicallyfounders.com.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your email address, and the answers you type into the waitlist form, including what you are currently stuck on and what stage your product is at.
- What your browser sends. Standard server request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps. Our hosting provider records this to serve the site and to spot abuse.
- Payment details, if you subscribe. These are handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Why we collect it
- To send you the emails you signed up for, and to tell you when access opens.
- To decide what gets built first. The open-ended answers directly shape the material we produce, which is the entire point of asking.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services required to run this, and only so they can perform that job for us. That currently includes our website host, our database provider, our email delivery provider, our payment processor, and our community platform. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your email address.
Advertising and analytics
We may run advertising on platforms such as Meta and Google, and we may use their measurement tools to understand which ads lead to signups. These tools can set cookies and may allow the platform to recognise a return visit. They are used to measure our own advertising, not to build a profile of you for anyone else. You can limit this through your browser cookie settings and through the ad preference controls each platform provides.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept while the waitlist is active and while you remain interested. Member records are kept for as long as you have an account and afterwards only as long as needed for tax and accounting. Ask us to delete your data and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email.
- Ask what we hold on you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it. Email the address above and we will action it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to a copy of your data and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The same email address handles all of it.
Security
Data is held with reputable providers, and access credentials are restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Do not send us sensitive personal information you would not want stored.
Where data is held
Our providers operate in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
